Individual Director Self-Assessment Tool
Description
The GCE's Individual Director Self-Assessment Tool aims to support the development of individual directors by helping them enhance their contribution to the board and providing them with a more positive experience. The tool can help identify skills gaps, training and development opportunities, and can also help with succession planning.
The tool is available as a fillable PDF form, making it easy for directors to use.
The assessment consists of over 20 statements, which individual directors are asked to rate using a multi-point rating scale, as well as short answer questions.

- The governance role;
- Knowledge of the organization and the environment;
- Contribution of expertise; and,
- Effective behaviour and relationships.
